The Heat Mat PipeGuard is a robust frost protection solution for both metallic and non-metallic water pipes, rated to protect down to -25°C. Operating at 230V with an output of 14W per metre, this cable has an integrated thermostat that activates at +3°C and deactivates at +13°C, offering fully automated, energy-efficient frost protection. Suitable for pipes up to 38mm in diameter, the PipeGuard is IPX7 rated, maintenance-free, and comes with a 1.35m cold tail lead for easy installation.
Developed for extreme Scandinavian winters, this cable is straightforward to install with zip-ties, and can be run along the pipe base or spiralled around larger pipes. Once covered with insulation, the entire cable is hidden from view, minimizing the risk of damage. Ideal for boiler condensate pipes, loft or external pipes, and outbuilding water pipes, the PipeGuard is a reliable solution that requires no ongoing maintenance and has very low running costs, typically less than 50p per metre annually.
