Wiring Accessories can be the source of some fires due to arcing or faulty wiring. An Intumescent gasket provides two means of protection; containing the source of some fires and helping to prevent the spread of fire through holes made in the fire barrier for wiring accessories
The gasket is thin enough not to impede internal wiring and can be penetrated to allow cables to pass through. Double sided tape o the back of the gasket allows it to be secured in the accessory box.
