Here’s the SMART bit. ZAPPI-2H07TB can charge for FREE using your PV during the day and be set to charge at the most economical times at night if you have preferred economy rates from your energy provider. All controllable by the myenergi APP.
No PV? No Problem! If you don’t have a PV system, zappi can still operate like an ordinary EV charging station importing from the grid. You can always add your solar/wind system later.

Zappi Eco - Smart EV Chargers
The new v2.1 Zappi EV chargers are EV chargers with a difference. The Zappi charging station offers EV charging from surplus solar or wind generation, meaning you can charge your vehicle using 100% free energy. The MyEnergi app allows you to get the most out of your Zappi charger, by allowing the user to charge during the day using your solar panels, and the set to automatically charge in the most economical times at night, if the user has a preferred rate from their energy provider.
No solar panels? No problem. Zappi chargers still work like any other charger, so you can charge your vehicle through your mains power outlet.
These new Zappi chargers are supplied with a built in Ethernet port (RJ45 socket) and WiFi to connect to the local network. The new built in hub functionality (vHub) means that a seperate hub is not necessary to connect to the internet.
Boasting 3 charging modes, ECO, ECO+ and FAST, this diverse charger allows the user to choose the option that best suits them. With built in PEN fault technology, this EV charger makes it quick, easy and cheap to install with no need for earth rod installation.
Zappi EV Charger Modes
Zappi car chargers come with three charging modes to suit all situations:
- eco - this mode uses a combination of solar and wind power, supplemented with energy from the grid. The Zappi smart charger constantly adjusts the mix of grid and self-generated power depending on what else is being used in the home to keep costs low, and charging output constant.
- eco+ - Like eco mode, this continuously adjusts charging power based on other usage in your home. If consumption goes over a certain threshold, your EV charger will pause until a surplus of power is available again. A great choice for those that wish to keep their energy usage as green as possible.
- fast - Perfect for those that need their electric car charged as quickly as possible. The charger charges and maximum power, regardless of the energy source.
MyEnergi Harvi Devices
Harvi is a small device which allows the eddi and zappi to be installed without the need to wire a direct CT clamp. Described as an energy monitoring wireless sensor, the Harvi is an essential part of the installation process that will save your time and money.
