The Kidde 4MCO is a mains powered carbon monoxide alarm with the added safety feature of a non-replaceable, sealed-in lithium battery back-up for when their is loss of mains power, giving seven years of continuous protection.
This CO alarm can be interconnected with up to 17 other Kidde and Firex mains alarms on a single wiring network using "smart interconnect" technology, and absolutely ideal for new builds or major refurbishments of existing properties and can be wall or ceiling mounted.
It has an electrochemical sensor which samples the air every 15 seconds automatically and has a manual test button which checks the electronics and sounder. Additional safety features include a temper resistant locking device which prevents unauthorised removal of the alarm without the the use of a tool, rechargeable lithium battery providing 7 years continuous operation in the event of mains failure, and an audible alarm of 85 dB at 3 meters.
An optional Surface Pattress SMK23 can be used if necessary.
The Kidde 4MCO has a 6 year manufacturer warranty.
