The Hager VMES02SPD is a Type 2 surge protection kit developed for Hager consumer units to support compliance with 18th Edition BS 7671. Designed for single-phase residential distribution, it is a CT2 SPD suitable for TN-C-S, TN-S and TT earthing arrangements, with 230/400V AC 50/60Hz rating, 20kA nominal discharge current, 40kA maximum discharge current and ≤1.5kV voltage protection level. The kit features pluggable surge modules, optical status indication showing clear for healthy and red for replace, 35mm DIN rail mounting, and cartridges that can be checked or replaced without interrupting supply to loads.
