The BN Thermic LH-K range is an economic means to heating a room and providing a luxurious warm floor. The LH under floor heating kits are manufactured to the highest standard and are backed with a 10 year warranty.

The LH heating kits have been specifically designed to be installed underneath laminate or engineered wood floors. They are very versatile and suitable for many rooms, however this does not include bathrooms or wet rooms.

The LH-Kit is an alternative to using the BN Thermic's LH heating films. It's ideally used when the floor area is known but the actual floor layout cannot be verified. The installer will be required to cut the film to length and make crimped connections using the tools provided. This system should only be installed by a professional electrician.

When installing these kits you will also require a layer of DEP6 Insulation underneath the LH film and a vapor barrier on top. The DEP6 insulation sheets provides four functions. To Limit downward heat loss, to act as a moisture proof barrier between the sub-floor and heating film, sound deadening and it gives the heating film a non-abrasive surface to be installed on. The VB vapour barrier sheets offer three benefits. Secondary electrical insulaton, protection from major liquid spills and a mechanical barrier between the heating film and floor surface preventing abrasions. The vapour barrier, LH elements and DEP6 insulation sheets should all be secured using BN Thermics LHT High Adhesive Tape (one 50M roll per 10M Squared are of floor).

In order to use the LH-K underfloor heating lits thermostatic control must be used. There are a range of BN Thermic controllers available, all of which are supplied with a floor probe.  The thermostats can be configured for primary control via the built in air sensor or via the floor sensor.  When using multiple kits it is important to check that their combined load are within the switching capacity of the selected thermostat. When the combined load is greater than the switching capacity of the selected thermostat an appropriately ratedcontactor must be selected.
