Radon mitigation fans are designed to remove radon gas from beneath the floor of a house and vent it into the atmosphere via a pipe.
A Radon reading of around 20Bq per cubic metre is considered normal.
If readings of above 500Bq per cubic metre are found a radon sump fan installation is usually required.
